When the status becomes gentle hiatus...

Hey! Welcome to the 45th instalment of the Olim Love Letters - a weekly newsletter written by me, Eloise. Here, we talk about connection, copy, Really Weird Childhood Stories™, and the odd linguistic snippet thrown in for good measure.

Hey, Reader. Love your outfit! You look tip-top today (like always).

It came to my horrified attention last week that the unsubscribe button is broken. So, in response (and apology for those I've trapped in an email-related vortex of lexical insanity) here's the link to unsubscribe:

As I've always said - the world is loud, your attention is sacred, and you can unsubscribe at any time and I will continue to think lovely thoughts about you.

But that little email "Hey, I don't have time to read these, even though I mean to, and I can't unsubscribe..." made me pause.

While creative energy is often limitless, time isn't.

I love these mailers. So much. I love that I get to speak to a truly wonderful group of people who are generous with their eyeballs and their replies. It makes me so happy to send them out (almost) each week.

And I recognise that I have other creative projects that have been waiting oh-so-patiently for me to turn my attention their way.

Namely: the book. A book. Any book! *gags in own mouth*

There is a book inside my brain and I need to get it out. To do that, I've got to recapture some time.

So with that said - and on the FORTY-FIFTH(!!!!) edition of the Olim Love Letters, I feel that it's a good moment to say that I'm taking a Summer break.

A gentle hiatus, if you will.

For the next few months, I'll be doubling down on 50,000 words of linguistic insights, and (if I may) I'd love to sidle into your inbox again in September.

Til then - take such good care, Reader. I can't tell you how much of a privilege it's been to write to you. Thank you for everything that you are.

Big, big love,

Eloise x
